Photostory Cover
For my blog post, I decided to combine two of my photos that I used for my photostory newspaper project.
To create a cover for my magazine story, I had to use multiple layers, the quick selection tool, the smart object tool, and multiple pictures.
The goal of this magazine cover was to change the location of where my friend was studying. To do this, I had to use the quick selection tool and cut out the area of one picture I would use, and then eventually place it on top of the other picture. I thought it would be a good idea to use a picture of another area to study because the picture can blend well with the background.

A few challenges that I faced during this process were fitting the pictures into the 8.75 x 11.5 magazine cover. After playing around with zooming in and out with the pictures I was able to find the right mix between the two while fitting the whole cover on the page. Another challenge was trying to get the chair into the magazine cover, I decided not to include the back of the chair because the quick selection tool could not pick up the small caps in between the back.
Things that I found helpful during this process was making multiple layer masks. This way if I ended up making a mistake, it would not ruin the original picture and I could go back and make some changes if need be. Overall I enjoyed this process and will try it with other pictures to hopefully enhance them.
